Help with HT500T

Postby noisyoldradiator on Sun Nov 16, 2008 6:20 pm

My old heater for my spa crapped out so I bought a HydroQuip HT500T. It works fine but I would like the highest temp to be a few degrees hotter. Is there anything I can do or am I stuck with a spa that is not hot enough for my wife.

104º is the maximum water temprature allowed by the Consumer Product Safety Commision (CSPC) and the maximum temp recommended by the Surgeon Generals office. Speaking from experience, 104º is pretty damn hot, almost burns. I can hardly believe you would want the water any hotter, but in any case, there is no way to alter this max temp setting as the PC boards and temp controllers are all set to this internally. She could try and wear something on her head, like a stocking cap or a towel while she is using the spa as this does keep you warmer and keeps the heat "in". Also sitting closer to the jets and utilizing the hydrotherapy features of the spa more intensely may also help.
